Yeah, what Joyce said.

I've gotten in the habit of sleeping in. Lazily rolling out of my nice warm comfy bed around 9ish. Okay, sometimes 10, but never later then 10:30.
I get up start my day and realize it is LUNCH time. What on earth?
Then I finally get something done and holy moly I need to start dinner.
Argh. Bad Sara.
Then daylight savings happened. You know, where you turn BACK the clocks. Get an extra hour of sleep.
I have been getting up in the 7's people. That is , frankly, unheard of in this house for me.
Yesterday I felt like I had too much time, so I just kept doing laundry. Three full loads later...I roasted a turkey. (Not a large turkey but a turkey.)
Last night I had a wonderful evening with my husband. I expressed what a gift he was to me. That I look forward to our quiet times and how just being near him recharges the battery.
This morning a woke bright and early, I got up, made the coffee and plopped myself down in front of the tv. I tape Joyce Meyer everyday. She is on too early for me, so I tape her.
Her message today was:
What's on your mind lately?
Joyce talks a lot about "Stinkin thinkin"
And she was preaching this morning about: being careful of the thoughts we think and the words we say when we are going through trials and tribulations...
That our attitudes we have while in the wilderness determine how long we're going to be there!

Say what?
Complain and remain
Pray and be raised!

Satan is relentlessly trying to build strongholds in our lives. We need to concentrate and learn the word of God.
It was a wonderful message. One I needed to hear and should revisit OFTEN.
I love Joyce, she is not warm and fuzzy. She just tells you like it is. I can admire that.
Submit to God, resist the devil then he will flee.
James 4:7

So I ask you, What's on your mind lately?

  1. I love Joyce too.

And the time change is having the same weird effect on me! Except I feel like going to bed at 8:30 now :)

  3. What's on my mind? That I need less on my mind! I love her quote "complain and remain". That is simple, yet profound!

  4. Time change has me getting up early too!

On my mind...hmm...At this present moment, it is blank. And how refreshing that is.

Now, if ya'd asked me yesterday...you may have gotten an earful! ;)

  5. when i stop and slow down my thoughts it is interesting how God has reminded me through so many things; blogs, music, etc. how he wants me to see things from His perspective and not by my own emotions.
