I am out of sorts today. It's Friday. But it feels more like a Tuesday to me or should I say to my body. I was up and ready way before this body is accustomed to. Roo had a doctor appointment this morning at 8am. I didn't get my eyebrows on this morning. I barely got my coffee...
It couldn't have helped that I was up late last night debating the issues and who should be our next President with one of Peaches' dear friends. It literally made my head ache. My faith and values just weren't good enough for him. "What about the greater good?" He'd ask. Oh come ON!
This is a man who grew up catholic. He has not excepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. This is the root of our differences. My head is hurting again. I'm sure your eyes are hurting reading this.

Changing subjects...It's officially fall. Bring on the decorations! Bring on the classics! The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is a favorite here. I scored a play set from a gently used children's store 2 years ago.

The Peanuts gang play set came with costumes and the party scene complete with bobbing for apple bowl where you can see Snoopy in the bottom. The TV in the back "voices" scenes from the movie. If you look closely you can see Linus out the window in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

The pumpkin patch also talks and tell the story of the WWI flying Ace. The kids love it. Every year it gets put away in the Halloween boxes and only comes out in the fall. It makes me smile just looking at it. It's starting to feel like Friday...finally.

Have a great weekend! Blessings to you all.

  1. I love the Peanuts set. My little sister, she is a LOT younger than me, has a couple of the sets like that, only the classroom set, etc. and I love them.

I have found that people do not understand we, especially christians, who vote solely based on moral issues. I just don't think they ever will. My head hurts for you!

  2. You know my love affair with the Peanuts! They, too, begin our fall traditions in our home. I love the detail in your playset - especially the window with Linus outside ... absolutely TOO CUTE! BTW, thanks for thinking of us with the Ebay hunt for the same. That was so genuinely nice of you!

On the issue of politics, I'm there with you, kiddo! This is yet another morality-check election, is it not?
