Recovery: A Day At The Carnival Will Hurt Ya!

I had so much fun doing the blog carnival. But it was like going out with your friends. Stayed out too late and hung over to next day! (Not that I drink a lot. I don't. Trust me when I say one glass is all I need to sleep soundly! Two glasses and you're asking to take over my job for the next day and a half!) So I was wiped out! I did shower...at 3:30PM just in time for Hubby to come home. Growin' with it summed it up in her 'Five things that I have learned from blogging' when she said "I've learned lastly, balance. For crying out loud, I can spend an entire day online if I didn't watch it!" I totally agree and have taken messures to ensure balance. But this is the story of the day after. Did anyone else have trouble keeping up with reading them all and leaving comments?
I was so wiped Thursday I needed to be creative. I was in no shape to do motherly duties, most of all meal plan and cook. Instead we had breakfast day.
The kids loved this, I'm going to do it more often.
We had breakfast all day long! Seriously, cereal or muffin tops in the morning, Scrambled eggs and hash browns for lunch, and pancakes for dinner. I never heard a complaint from the kids or a "I don't like this..." I never had to fight with them to take 4 more bites. The only one not happy was Hubby. Because in our house HE makes the pancakes. That is a rule. (It's a rule because I can't reach the darn griddle and I burn myself on it.) To "act" like I planned this I had him jazz up the pancakes. A little food coloring and strategic placement and you have PUMPKIN pancakes!
Kiddos really loved them, Butter wanted them every night for dinner.

What makes me laugh about this, he's wearing an orange shirt and holding up the spatula, which is out of the picture. Butter was the photographer.

Today is the last day to get your name in for my drawing for the Friend frame.

Good luck!!!!!

I'll post the winner on Sunday cause I can't wait until Monday.

  5. Cutest pancake idea I've ever seen. Thanks! Hopefully my Adorable Hubby will surrender the batter to me for long enough to add food color.
