Book Meme

I got tagged by Poopsie to do a book meme.
The rules of this tag are these:1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.2. Share seven random and/or weird book facts about yourself. (there were more rules about tagging and such...I say if you want to play...do it. )
  1. I love reading. The books I am reading right now are the bible, a 40 day study on wisdom. And I'm still working on the Shack. It's proving tough to get through for me.

  2. My favorite book ever is Night by Elie Wiesel

followed closely by John Piper's The Passion of Jesus Christ

  3. Books I can't live without
  4. Books that are working on me

  5. Most enjoyable books I've ever read and reread often. Harry Potter.

  6. Books I love reading to my Children.
  7. Random book facts: I love to "read" cook books, but rarely make the recipes. I have never cheated and read the end of a book first. I used to love 'Chose your own Adventure' books in grade school. I hated reading the required books in school. I don't like classics or Oprah's book club. I've tried reading the recommeded and find I don't like being told what to read. I am not a huge fan of non-fiction. I would someday like to write a book.

  1. i've totally become a reader later in my life. i'm sure it's because of my kids so focused on it. d-man's 1st grade teacher recommended "shepherding a child's heart" and i found it in the attic the other day. i'd love to hear what you are learning! we could have our own "sarlin" book club on parenting?!

just finished bob woodruff's book. i'm a softie for biographies and real life stuff!

  2. I read 1/2 of "Shepherding a Child's Heart" recently, and I want to start it over with Husband in tow this time. So many sound biblical principles are upheld in that book!

  3. I read Night in college and still can't forget it! It is one of 2 books I've kept from college. An absolutely AMAZING book!

  4. I couldn't get through The Shack...I guess I need to try again. But Night...I finished in one sitting. It was amazing. Sad, but I am so glad he documented that, as painful as it probably was.

  5. Reading is my absolute favorite way to kick back and relax...I can get lost in a good book for hours. I am adding Night to my list right now...I've never read it, so thanks!
