The one about the weekend.

It seems I have confused y'all.
Miss a day and you miss a lot here.
Ok, that's not really true normally, but in this case it might be. See, I had posted two parts of a story. The first one had 2 comments, the next morning the second was only up for maybe an hour. So if you didn't see the post then of course you'd be lost.
My fault.
I'm working on writing a "fictional" piece. Which I will begin to post in chapters, after I get them written.
We had a great weekend. The kids got to spend the night over at Nana and Papa's house thanks to Buttered Toast's relentless pursuits. Wonderbread and I went to eat at Texas Roadhouse. I had bbq ribs that were delicious! And their warm soft bread with cinnamon butter, buckets of peanuts still in the shell and a strawberry margarita to die for. Have mercy.
We watched the Curious Case of Ben. Buttons. I didn't like it. I hate movies that end sadly. Life can be sad, do the movies have to be too?
I spent today laying on my lounge chair soaking up rays through my SPF 50, sweat streaming off me while I wrote. It was hot today. The kids played in their kiddy pool, Wonderbread cleaned the front garage and for lunch we had Popsicles. Couldn't have been a better day. I love days like this. No worrying about laundry or shopping or bills or whatever. Just outside relaxing with good tunes. (Did you know that when you have your ipod on it makes it harder to hear the kids? I SAID! Kidding, I know your only reading this. I need to listen to my headset more, it's so peaceful without all the so and so did... hahaha)
I also wanted to tell you that I heard from Ylfa. I found her on facebook. Crazy thing, I've been searching ever since I started facebooking, and I couldn't find any of them. Suddenly, I go to tell the story of that summer...I find Tjorvi on FACEBOOK. I nearly fell out of my chair. I then found Ylfa, she got back to me and I was able to see pictures of them all from her wedding and pictures of her little ones Kaya Sol and Siggi. So good to hear from her.

I packed a cooler and a change of clothes
Lets jump in, see how far it goes........

  1. Can't wait to read your story! What a nice day; popsicles for lunch. That's genius on a hot day. I've always wanted to try Texas roadhouse, I seriously drooled over your dinner. Thanks for the heads up on the movie, I don't have time for downers right now. But hey did you ever see PS I Love You? Kill me now and pass the kleenex, great flick, SO sad.

  3. We went to Texas Roadhouse this weekend too, delish. And I have been saying for years that I hate movies with sad endings for the same reason you just said. I watch a movie to "escape" and be entertained, life is hard and I want to get away from it for a while, not be slapped in the face with reality!

  4. I feel the same way about movies. I love a good happy ending. Who doesn't?

Comedies are the best. Without a doubt.

  6. I am addicted to pop icee! I do have a "sad movie" setting. Sometimes when I am in a complex mood I enjoy living vicariously thru the struggles of others, makes my stuff seem simple.
But for the most part I really just want something funny to space otu to. We're currently watching ALF online
