I never say diet.

mmm, I got some chocolate brownie cookies at the store. They were buy on get on free.
We love us some chocolate around here. I am very proud of myself for only eating half the cookie. mmmhmmm, I said half. I put 7 cookies in the cookie jar and froze the other 17. Something I can throw in the cooler when we are out all day. And for the first time ever, I bought zero cherry coke. I'm not a big pop drinker but some days I crave a big ol glass of cherry coke or pepsi. I don't discriminate here, but I wouldn't drink diet. Blech. Then I thought, hmmm, this pop says ZERO calories, ZERO carbs. I'm not saying I'm going on a health kick or D.I.E.T. that word isn't even in my vocabulary...but it seemed like a better choice. It wasn't so bad, not to terrible of an after taste. Like I said I'm trying to make better CHOICES. Then maybe my body will feel up to the battle of keeping the blues away. That and sleep, I crave sleep. My body gets real tired around 4PM, then around 9PM I get this second wind, where I feel like I should be cleaning or something, when really I should be crawling into bed, reading for an hour and lights out. Never happens that way. I won't even start on the dreams I've been having. They are WEIRD. Last night I drempt I was back in High School, but I had the smarts and brains of now, and the body of my teenself. I was getting in trouble from a teacher because I was late to class, missed the lecture, had no notes to study for the quiz. My locker had exploded with water, turns out a pipe burst behind it and was threatening to flood the school if someone didn't save everyone. Which was ME, and this teacher would NOT give me a break, turns out He hated me and only wanted me to fail so he planted the broken pipe hoping to drown me.
See, I told you it was weird. It was totally real, I woke up panting and ready to choke my husband thinking it was the teacher coming after me. No, I probably would NOT have choke Rob, I would have realized it was a dream before that could happen, but you know when you wake up from something and it takes like 30 seconds to realize "Hey that was a dream!"
I got to see Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince last weekend. It was really good. VERY different from the book. Again I have been up nights thinking: Now how is this going to play out if they didn't do it this way, and they left out this person who has a huge piece in the last book and THAT didn't happen the way the movie said. I did really enjoy that Harry, Hermionie and Ron got to be more teenagersish in this one, it wasn't so dark and tense. Harry has an enormous burden to carry, and this movie didn't dwell on that so much which was nice.
I am now reading a book that Stephanie Meyer suggested: Percy Jackson and the Olympians book one The Lighting Thief. So far I'm liking it. I read I Love You, Beth Moore. Which was quite comical and I could relate. I had mad crushes on people that didn't know I existed and I also gave the graduation speech at my school. I did NOT however call people out as the kid in the book did which then made for one seriously crazy night.
I like stories. Yes, I continue to work on One Summer's Past. and will post more soon.
It is time for a snack, Plouts are very good this season.

  1. You only ate HALF the cookie?!? That there is some self control. I'd likely have eaten seven and THEN froze the others.

It's why I have to run so dang much...self control kills me every.single.time.

  3. Husband and I saw Half Blood Prince this week too! I thought it was great. And I heard that the big part they left out at the end may be the beginning of the next movie. I too enjoyed the teen angsty-ness going on.

Cheers for HP and brownie cookies!
