Random Dozen Sass Style!

I am joining the random dozen today because my brain can't come up with something original and I loved the questions Linda asked.

1. It's early morning, about 2:00AM, and you're driving home. You come to a red light and sit there. There is no one in sight for miles around. Do you wait it out or run the light?
To be honest, I've ran red lights at 2PM, by accident of course. I'd like to think I'd be more focused at 2AM just because all the drunks are out then, but when I think about the drunks I think about NOT being out on the road at that time, but then I saw an episode of Oprah that had these SAHM on that drink during the day! Okay, so I won't be on the roads at these times 7-9:30AM, 12-4PM, 6-10PM and anytime after midnight. WOW that is going to screw up my schedule big time!

2. If you had the chance to re-do the last 24 hours, would you change anything?
I'm pretty happy with what I did yesterday, so I can't think of anything.

3. When you reply to some one's comment on your blog, do you reply in your comments or go to her blog and comment? (Or email her)
Email her. I love the one on one interaction. I never reply on my blog comments I can barely get people here the first time, I certainly don't expect to see them back in the same day!

4. Your favorite Disney movie is:
Beauty and the Beast! I loved the unlovable Beast and how he won Belle's heart, and that creepy Gaston...I got to see the Broadway production of BatB it was WONDERFUL!

5. Do you recycle?
Yep. Really anal about it too.

6. Games of strategy or games of chance?
I like to play chess and I like to play the game of Life, so I'm going to steal Sara's answer "My strategy is all about chance anyways!"

7. Do you have any recurring dreams?
Just ones where I'm falling and I startle myself awake. Those really bite! I dream about color a lot too.

8. What did you learn from your first real job?
I'm confused by this question: Do you mean like the first job someone gave you to do? Because I really hated peeling potatoes and doing dishes. Or do you mean like a job we were payed to do? I was 11 when I started babysitting. Or like the first job you had when you didn't live at home? That didn't go so well. Or the first real job you had that payed you bills and allowed you to NOT live under your parents roof? Or the first real job you actually LIKED there for calling it your FIRST REAL JOB because all the rest just felt like slave work? So which is it? Must of my jobs involve kids so are you asking about the first real job I had NOT working with kids?
I know, now YOU are confused right? How about I just say the job I most liked DOING?
Clinique consultant. That was a lot of fun, unless you count when we had to count the money in other drawers and that person opened ALL the change. Okay that did suck.

9. Do you buy or borrow most books?
Both, I'll borrow and if I like it I'll then buy it because I like to write in them too!

10. What fashion trend of the past did you say you'd never wear again but did?
Well, this was never "officially" a trend but I being the kind to march to a different beat would wear long johns UNDER boxer shorts and over sized t-shirts to school. It drove my mother crazy! I liked it because it was comfortable and I stood out and not in the way of trying to look like the popular girls when I clearly wasn't pretty, but my class all knew me by looks first then by how nice I was after they got seated next to me in class and I would end up giving them my pens or paper or *ahem* answers. It payed off, my class voted for me to give a speech at graduation and I was neither the smartest OR best looking! ;) What was I talking about, I just had a "yeah me" moment. Oh, trend...so after looking at pictures I was like "Geez mom you let me wear THAT!?!" And she said "I wasn't going to stop you, I just took pictures." So I swore I'd never wear underwear. But of course I DO wear underwear, that was kinda stupid to say NEVER too. I even sleep in boxers now! But I NEVER wear my underwear on the OUTside.
11. When do you start Christmas shopping?
If it is January 1 and I see something perfect for someone; I'll buy it, forget I bought it, find it exactly a year later and tell them I found it under the tree skirt. NOT kidding it's happened more then once. Normally I'll start thinking about things in October, when the new toys begin to arrive in stores. I hate last minute shopping, so I'm usually wrapped and ready by mid December. My anniversary is Dec. 15th so I shoot to be DONE by then. See, Christmas isn't the end for me...I've got TWO kids with birthdays (12/27 &1/1) so I still have shopping to do and that happens AFTER Christmas because I have to see what they get and then go from there. It is taxing. So just having my Christmas stuff done early let's me focus on the gifts I need to get still! Phew I am pooped just writing that!

12. Have you ever been so happy that you literally jumped up and down for a few seconds? If so, what was the occasion? Yes, I get excited meeting bloggy friends! It does not happen as often as I'd like but yes I jump up and down and clap my hands like a giddy 4 year old on bags of candy let loose in Barbie land!!!!

  5. I like to write notes in my books too! I also love to go to bookstores, write down a list of all the ones that grab my attention, then go check them out at the library. If I like them enough, I get on amazon.com and add to my collection.
