Is it icing on the cake of disappointment? Who knows.

Winter around here can get long. So somebody, back in the 1800's decided to have a Winter Carnival in the middle of it. One of our favorite parts of it is the snow sculpting contest. Here are some of the sculptures this year. (We have had warmer the usual temps this last week AND rain.) It was actually misting. But die-hard Minnesotans that we are we still went and rode the fire trucks. It was a great day. I can't say the evening was so good. In fact it was rather heart-breaking. VW bug, I don't know where he thins he's going but it ain't Miami.
The Monkey is looking for some tips: I got one, When your quarterback has running room and all you need is 10-15 yards for the game winning field goal you RUN! (Did I say that out loud?)

Look at this guy, feeding the pigeons, kinda like the Vikings fed the Saints all those balls on turn overs!

At first glance you might think this kitty should stay away from this well-equipped bull dogOh, but then he must have seen his name tag: Viking

It's a snow blower made of snow! Hey that's ironic. Know what else is The Vikings loosing yet ANOTHER NFC Championship game.

Yeah, I'll be rooting for the Saints, they deserve it.

  1. Those are amazing sculptures! I love them.
Dave was rooting for the Vikings - he's pretty bummed too, but you're right, it is pretty exciting that the Saints get to have their day. :)

Don't worry -- the Vikings may have been trying to give the Saints the game, but bless those boys, they can't figure out how to land on a freaking ball to save their lives. GEEZ. Lol.
