I have been stalling to post. It is a long story that only gets me emotional and ticked off at the same time. So I'm going to keep stalling for a bit and tell you the heart warming tale of The Three Legged Dog.
My dear friend Pollie makes me laugh. Her life at times is a comedy. Cartoonish even. Pollie likes animals, ones that don't live with her. Got it? See where this is going?
Pollie calls me and interrupts my wrapping...
"Sara," She says laughing "Don't laugh at me."
I'm thinking...well your laughing...
"Your going to laugh, but just don't...I found us a dog." She giggles.
Hmm, I'm not laughing, I'm curious.
"I went to this women's house and she asked if I wanted a dog, she asks everyone. Sara, I just love this dog, and he has three legs." She giggles more.
I'm still not laughing. She told me not too, but in my head I've got a huge grin. She tells me the story of how the dog was hit by a car at 1 year old and the family couldn't pay to fix him...they relinquished rights and the Vet had to remove one of his front legs, he completely healed. This women's family was a foster home for him.
I can hear in her voice the love and longing she has for this dog.
"He runs faster then the dog with 4 legs, he's so dumb he doesn't KNOW he only has 3." I can now clearly in my mind picture this dog. He is happy.
His name is Reggie. We went to meet Reggie last night. He is the happiest dog I've ever met. But I have to say that it was Pollie's family that were expounding with joy! I also noticed that when the kids weren't playing with Reggie he was sitting next to Pollie, soaking up all the love she'd give him. And let me tell you she was LOVing her new dog! She's a proud Mama.
Now, I can laugh, because I know that I will be hearing tons of stories about Reggie's days at the H. home. And it won't be just me bragging about my dog! Maybe Pollie will send me a picture of Reggie so I can post it for you.
I going to continue my stall. I need to get confirmation from the Doctor before I go all mutant ninja Mommy.
Praying for you! Hope you hear what you need from the doc and the Lord.

Awwww... such a cute story. I don't even like dogs but fell in love with our newest addition.
ReplyDeleteHope you're okay too:)
Sorry to worry you all. It's my wedding ring issue. I have a rash again around my finger. I need to speak to the Doctor before I bust some heads at the jeweler.
ReplyDeleteAww! I would love to see a picture!
ReplyDeleteI get a rash from my wedding ring too. Especially when the weather turns cold and dry! It stinks. I'm semi-allergic to the metal or something.
ReplyDeleteThe dog story is too cute. What a loving friend you have - she even can't resist holding back from the three-leggeds :)
Hope everything is OK! Praying for you, bloggy sister! :)
ReplyDeleteOops. Just saw your comment.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when I don't check google reader for 2 days. Sigh.
