Ice-breakers.

I did have a Sara Groves post. I'll redo it tomorrow. You see when I posted that video it took over my blog. Anything I try to post after it, it makes it go away and the video post stays so I deleted it and am now posting again. I will repost The song from Sara.

Rachel did a post on icebreakers. I stole it. Here we go.

If you could be invisible, where would you go?
Hmmm, the airport I could ride in first class for free and not pay for extra baggage and I'd make sure I was going to Israel. I really want to go to the Holy Land, but I am afraid because I'm American...And if they couldn't see me they couldn't umm hurt me.

What was your favorite book growing up?
Toddler: Not sure the book but I loved the song "this little light of mine."
Child: Chose your own adventure books
Teen: Christopher Pike booksI really didn't become a reader until I was an adult.

Where is the worst place you've ever had to wait?
Biffy lines at a summer concert or fair after over indulging. ARGH. The smell, and the heat and just plain yicky!
OOH. one more the Mall Santa. Oh yes. with a child that just pooped up his back and you can't get out of line or loose your place...

Name a food that nauseates you.
Fish. Raw, uncooked seafood. And Oreo cookie breath. If you haven't eaten them, but someone around you has. Bleck!

If you could read minds, whose would you want to read?
God's. I want to know about the dinosaurs and I'd like to know when Jesus is coming to get me. And my High school gym teacher. Did he really not know that putting me in as shortstop would bust my tooth?!? It's not like there weren't signs or anything that I wasn't athletic. Sara, ball, Ball, Sara's face!

What is the worst grade you've ever gotten? In what subject?
Let me see F in algebra until the teachers saw the benefit of sitting me next to my boyfriend. I got C-'s instead. And I squeaked by with a D in gym. He must have felt bad for breaking my tooth.
Biology I charmed a B out of my teacher because I was the only one to stay awake everyday for filmstrip and I did all the extra credit.
(I never did required work and failed every test.) I was the ONLY one who stayed awake for filmstrips. (He was a terrible teacher, and also the football coach. The school had priorities.)

If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?
An Eagle. They are protected. They are symbols of our country and they can fly anywhere and not pay a baggage fee. (Are you seeing a pattern here?)

If you were a teacher, what grade would you teach?
Been here. Done that. So glad I will never do it again. I taught toddlers and preschoolers and school age after school programs. You know that saying those that can't DO, Teach? I totally DISagree with that. Trust me when I say this. Teachers should be the highest paid people in the WORLD. Bankers-schmankers! These people are longgggggg suffering in so many ways. I love me some teachers. I will not be one ever again.

How close to first place have you ever gotten in a limbo contest?
I'll tell you what, I've never played limbo, I hate the chicken dance and FORGET the Macarayna I don't DO this stuff.
I have however won Miss Congeniality and chosen by peers to give our grad speech. Beat that Limbo!
I am adding one more. From my pageant days. If you could be a fruit what fruit would you be and Why?
I LOVED this question it sounded so stupid. But here is my answer.
Kiwi. A kiwi is not an attractive looking fruit. It's not pretty like apples or berries. It's not fun like bananas or oranges. But when you cut into a kiwi it has a beautiful inside. The seeds are patterned and the taste is sour at first then it slowly sweetens. You have to look on the inside to see what a Kiwi offers. Because the outside is just plain, brown and hairy.
Not such a stupid question ah? I KNOW I got marks for that!
Ok your turn. What you got!

  6. Love your answers, too funny!

If I were invisible, I'd sneak up on my kids just to hear what they say to eachother when I'm not around, My favorite book growing up? I loved The Great Brain series, biographies, Little House on the Prairie, and Anne of Green Gables - oh and Christopher Pike.
Eggs, seafood, milk, orange juice, pork (unless it's bacon), turkey, oh, just one food? I got a D in grammar in grade 4, I got a P in math in grade 10 which is a PASS a little lower than a D- but higher than an F.
A dolphin, because they're fun and like to swim, and smart too.
I would love to teach high school, more specifically, high school DRAMA and English.
I've limboed but I never came close to 1st place.
And if I were a fruit, I'd be a Peach because they're fuzzy and juicy, so they must be good, and because they remind me of summer, and I love summer.
