Hip.

Rachel over at In His Hands did this post yesterday about how hip she was...
I decided to take her up on her question and prove that I too knew a thing or too about being rad. I loved girly stuff.I loved Shortcake, but I was 6 when she came out. And Mother refused to buy me Shortcake bedding. Would you imagine my delight when she reemerged some 18 years later? Butter's 2nd birthday was shortcake.
Moving onto my very FAVORITE Christmas presents e.v.e.r.
I spent hours playing this...Some of the other show inspired things I loved...I had dolls just like these pictures, with these outfits. I loved Donny and Marie.

I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock and roll...

Speaking of Country...YEE HAW!I also had a matchbox plastic map of the town and all the cars that you could play out the show.
Jealous?
Let's move on to fashion. Cutting edge as I was This was what I considered to be pretty perfume. I found this picture (and all the others on Google) of a groups of fashionistas.

Oh, you know I had an outfit like each one of these and an added bag like this...
And let us all remember the teal eyeliner...

Music had an enormous impact on me that is why I can not end this post without mentioning these... Saw her in Grease.
No, I didn't get all worked up when they came back to relive their glory days...

Speaking of...there are some fashions that are making a come back. Some that should never come back, and some, comeback if you want but I ain't wearing it again. So one more thing if you please...
Katie, if you will please STOP rolling your pants and reminding us all over 30 what dorks we were!?!?!?
Seriously, I am NOT rolling my pants, and neither is Hubby. And NO Zubaz.

  1. We ARE like twins!

Thanks so much for continuing this post idea....you hit the goodies.

One side note on the Dukes of Hazzard...my older bros - Josh and Jake - and I would play that all the time when we were young. Josh had brown hair, Jake had blond, and then there was me, so we had the perfect cast! To top it off, our red car looked just like the Hazzard car....we'd jump in and out of the windows and act out different scenes. It was awesome!!!!

    Those were the days...

  9. Trip down memory lane! I loved (and had) most of that stuff. Except Donny and Marie...I think I must have missed them. Oh, and I never got into New Kids.

  10. Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, NEW KIDS!!! Oh, I heart them all but I heart NKOTB the most! Obviously, since I lived out my childhood fantasy of seeing them in concert!

The Esprit bag cracked me up.
