Behind the curve

I used to be against cell phones technology.
It was complicated, foreign.
It meant I would have to...*whispers* change.
I don't didn't like change.
I've learned that change means growth.
And growing is a good thing.
Sometimes though you can try and grow too fast.
Like yesterday for instance.
I spent 4 hours of my life trying to switch over from blogger to wordpress, because I was reading about how wordpress is so much better then blogger...
I bought my domain, imported my blog...off I went to make it mine.
I was so overwhelmed at how different everything was, I could not find my way around the simplest themes. It sucked.
Then I realized; Sara, this is too much.
Maybe you need to start off slow, like get back into blogging on a regular basis. Then go after the domain name, costs money blog. (Which I'm sure will have been bought up by somebody who has no idea what a sass is and can't interpret there own rantings, let alone steal my name sake...
'Failure is not an option'
I'm not sure who said that; But today I took a GIANT step into the tech world and signed up for instagr.am.
I know, I'm late to the party, once again.
Pinterest took me eons to get into, then once I was in...Life changing. Just look at my yummies board.
I guess this means that I need to finagle an iPhone out of my Hubby, since carrying around my iPad would be a hassle unless I get me one of those cute new Gussy bags.
Hmmm, I do have a birthday coming up soon~ish.
Well, at least for now I'm not behind the curve anymore.

*just an update*
I just wanted to say my uncle passed away.
My mom was telling me that he was agitated at the end. I'm curious, what or why do you suppose that is?
I have my theories, but I'm curious to hear what you think.

Giving Thanks.

While we get ready to start our Thanksgiving traditions:
Watching the Macy's Parade
Traveling over the river and through the traffic to Grammy's house
Stuffing our gizzards with roast turkey, yams, cranberries, pumpkin pie
Watching the Lions take on the Patriots
And the Cowboys & the Saints...
I am thankful:
That I am the mother of these two amazing kids. It's not me that made them amazing, they were born that way, and becasue they were born that way they teach me how to be a patient, kind, adoring mother.
I am thankful:
That time has been healing for my Mother and I. We have been able to let go of things and embrace each other right where we are. Love really is patient.

I am thankful:
That this man is by my side everyday. Life is tough, but there is no one I'd rather go through it with then Rob.

These are my top 3 blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving!

And when the dishes are cleaned and put away, look through your recipe box!
It's a cookie exchange ya'll!
Buzz over to Sara's and get your button!

Shout outs.

Phew! I am pooped out girls! That was the hardest I've worked since starting this crazy world of blogging. I have to say I have enjoyed sharing that story and no small children, husbands or pets were harmed when making it. Thanks for coming by and reading such a marathon post! I am so grateful to each of you for your kindness and friendship. I feel like I need to go make another 11 friend frames for each of you!
Linda, I have to say that video yesterday, was hilarious! Hubby was home sick yesterday so I LIVED it! And did I run to his bell and say "Poor little bunny." (Loved the accents.) NO, but I did make him soup and sick potion.
If you missed her crummy cold post check it out. It'll make you laugh.

Mama Belle did a post about her favorites. So I wanted to do something like it too. The reason I started blogging came from a visit to Lisa Leonard Designs. I saw one of her necklaces and had to order one for myself.

This is the style I chose, and had my kiddos names put on it. She also has a gorgeous blog.

Then one of my very first bloggy friends is a talented artist named Jenny. She is working on her Art blog right now. I wanted to share with you the family tree we commissioned her to do for Hubby's parents as a Christmas gift.

How LOVELY! I can't wait to see it in real life.

Next I met Lindsey, at Pleated Poppy. She makes these really cute posie hair clips and pins. She even makes cute little zipper bags and clip boards.

Then there is Caroline over at Pink Lemonade Bags. Her bags are SO cute. I chose this cute Halloween one to show you.I haven't bought myself one yet, because I have 6 that I like I can't choose just one! If she ever makes one that is purple paisley or purple damask it is MINE! Love love love her bags.

And if you haven't visited Chrissie over at Flip Flops and Applesauce. She has all these cute ideas to do with your kids. I sware she is Martha Stewart the Mommy edition!

Two more blogs I'd like to mention Moms into Politics and Mama Manifesto. These gals have heart and are inspiring and insightful.

I am amazed at all of you! How funny you are. How insightful you are. How caring and loving you are. How awesomely talented you are.

I so LOVE my Bloggy friends.
