Break into Spring!

They (the weather people) are talking 70 sometime this week. This is crazy talk for Minnesota, see, we all know the March Madness curse. we can't get through March without some kind of snow dumping. Oh, it's real. So when I here 70's in March...I get giddy! I love when there is a possibility of lovely weather on my birthday! What better way to celebrate then shopping for new flip flops and eating lunch outside! without bugs! (cause they haven't caught on yet that it's nice out)
Or getting something like this:

look at and smell.

Which then makes me want to make these:

To remind me of the real thing and to add a little pizazz...

If only I had a work space like this to blog in and create and sew...

Ooh la la, yes!
Look at that sun shining through the window, makes me want to go outside for a walk and smell the damp spring air that promises of budding flowers and Robins...

Mom, did you say walk? I heard you say walk mom! Are we going for a walk?
Why do you need to paint your toes for walking?

Speaking of Robins, they lay the most gorgeous colored eggs, it makes me so sad to she little broken shells on the ground...but what a beautiful color...
(My husband hates feet, any and all feet. I told him about this little person at family camp I remembered, he had no arms and did everything with his feet. Like ate, holding a fork...I was a fascinated little 5 year old. I said "What if I had no arms and had to use my feet? Would you still love me? Would you hold my foot, like in the movie theater or on a walk?" He said "I may have to go blind. and don't ask me to inter-lace fingers with your toes..." Nearly made me pee my pants.)

 Then there is this one...
That is "thelook". She wants something, and she will stare at you until she gets it. What does she want?
Well, she wants to be outside, enjoying the sun...Sorry Tabitha, we renters now, there is no yard for you to safely go outside in. :0(
I better get some catnip to smooth things over. I should pick up some jello too, so I can make this:
Rainbow jello with a gold coin!

I'm breaking into Spring, I just hope April showers are kind...

all pictures have links back to sites, and are on my pinterest boards.

Two things...

First; This one...

 Did this...

Because I won't let her lay here. (under our bed)

Yesterday she was angry at us for having a sitter, so she camped out under the bed for two days. So today we closed the door, she can't get in and she is mad about that.

Second, conviction hit today.
My devotion for the day was:
Don't worship your worries.
He is safe because he trusts the Lord~Psalm 112:7(ibc)
{When your worries take on a life of their own and take over your thoughts, you are worshiping them not Me.}

*gulp*

Hmpf.

sigh.

"chin up"

I'll do my best.

That's all.

Hidden.

It looks like an ordinary box of wrapping paper doesn't it?

But look closer...

There is a hint of black...do you see it?

Investigate closer...
Tabitha has snuck in the box and is now playing a game of cat and mouse.

Guess which one she's being right now?
Silly Tabby.

Pet tails.

See this little white fur ball?
She's our new kitty.
We are all a bunch of suckers for homeless strays.
No really, Rob was at a party in college and the house had a dog, Lady, she fell in love with Rob so they let him have her. When he came home for the summer it turned out Lady wasn't such a "ahem" lady... She had puppies.
As for me I went to work one day ticked off at my boyfriend, one of the gals I worked with brought in a kitten that had been coming around her house. Boyfriend was allergic, so naturally I brought the kitten home. Next we have Louis, we showed up in our warehouse at work, my boss gave me instructions: "Find a home for that thing or I'll break it's neck."
I believe he would have, so I took him home. Now I had two cats and no boyfriend, I was well on my way to becoming "the cat lady".
Cue bar scene: busy, full of people. Pan left, two pretty women sitting at the bar talking intently. Pan right, two guys just walk in and scan the scene. They spot an opening at the bar, they go to place an order. Girl in the red sweater grimaces, turns to hand guy #1 a beer. he smiles, she stares...
You know the rest.
So now it's Lady, Tabby, Louis, Rob and Sara.
Lady is put down due to very ill health.
Louis gets fat.
Louis goes out one day and doesn't come back.
Pet store. Adoption day.
"We could use a dog."
chow/retriever/lab mix.
Gabrielle.
Gabby is very distrusting of men.
Gabby hides under bed to get away from Rob.
Gabby tears up bedroom carpet trying to "escape".
Make a call to Vet.
Make a call to a pet therapist. (NO joke.)
Therapist tells me it will be like living with a special needs child.
Make a call to pet adoption organization who sold me said dog.
"Oh, yeah we've gotten nearly every puppy back from that litter."
No kidding? Gee, why do ya think that is?
Take dog back, they will work on rehabilitation.
Gabby does not return.
At a friends birthday party, told they have two kittens they found on the side of the rode.
Cassie Gin joins the family.
Cassie loves to hunt.
Visit friends that just got a new puppy.
The itch starts.
Random walk through mall, see black schnauzer.
Go home.
Must.get.dog.
Piper Presley joins us.
Cassie enjoys staying out all night hunting.
Cassie enjoys leaving headless "gifts" on the deck and in yard.
Cassie gets a new home on a farm in a different city.
two months later Cassie shows up.
Cassie is locked inside at night.
two days later Cassie goes out, and never comes back.
Apparently she didn't like our rules.
Happy family: Rob, Sara, Nina, Nick, Dog-Piper, Cat-Tabby.
Kids go to VBS, Nana says we have a kitten living under the deck.
Kids want to go see kitten.
Kids see kitten and beg for kitten to come home with us.
Kitten must be a girl to stay.
What should we name kitten?
Nick~ "Bella"
Nina~ "Snowball"
"We are not naming the cat Snowball. Daddy what do you think?"
"I like Bella."
Bella it is, well we can call her Bella but she must have a full name.
Isabella Rascalini
Unless it turns out she's a he, then it's Max and Max will be living with Nana and Papa.

It has been a few days now. She is making her place in this family.

Tabitha was not happy, Piper thought we had gotten a new chew toy until she was on the receiving ends of sharp tiny claws!
She is mostly white, with a tuff of buff on the top of her head and two black tuffs on her neck. The tip of her tails also has black.
Bella is a pro at hide and seek. It is amazing how this little thing can find places.
She loves to sleep. If she's not sleeping she wants to eat, after a snack she likes to play.
We now own:
one cat scratch post.
one feather wand
three fuzzy mice with feather tails.
one twine mat.
one feather twine ribbon thing.
one empty box from the neighboring liquor store.
two litter boxes.
All for this little rascalini!

The one about Cat that I forgot to post...

Our cat Tabby is a resourceful thing. She also likes the simple things in life: A warm bed, a clean litter box, meals at exactly 7AM, 2PM and 4PM. She likes the sun on her fur, a shoveled walk way and good brushing.

As I sat down to eat my soup, I glanced out the window. Cat was out there. (We affectionately call her Cat.) She was face down in the snow, digging. I thought to myself, this cat doesn't even walk on four paws through the snow, she tip toes on three, quickly shaking her paws off.

Here she was face down in snow.

I sat and watched her. As she lifted her head, face covered in white she backed up into her spot lowering her backside and delicately lifting her tail.

Uh huh, she was making a poopy hole. When she finished she began to bury the hole back up. She looked around and noticed I was at the window watching her. She came over, looked right at me and meowed. I'm not sure what she was saying to me, since I don't speak cat.

Maybe she wanted privacy, or maybe she was telling me it was time to clean her box after all look what she had to go through...

As I finish typing this, she is sitting on the edge of the desk, staring at me. Does she know I'm writing about her or is she just going to stare until I get up, she weave through my legs until I go into the room her box is in and then meow at me until I clean it?
